Steering Committee Structure:
- The Steering Committee (SC) will be composed of at least 1 or more representatives from each local chapter. Currently we have chapters in Los Angeles, San Diego, Bay Area, Virginia, Toronto, Vancouver and Mazar-e-Sharif. SC members for new as well as current local chapters will be voted in as needed by existing SC members.
- Decisions by the Steering Committee will be made by consensus. If this proves impossible to achieve and if a majority of SC members feel that a decision on the issue must be made, a vote will be held. A vote requires the approval of at least 51% of the SC members.
- SC members who, in the judgment of the majority of the Steering Committee, have been unable to assume the responsibilities of a SC member may be removed and replaced. Removal as well as replacement via new candidate requires the consensus of the Steering Committee. If this proves impossible to achieve and if a majority of SC members feel that a decision on the issue must be made, a vote will be held. A vote requires the approval of at least 51% of the SC members.
