Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers
Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers is a group of Afghan youth and college students who, together with international volunteers, wish to recover humanity’s smile. Our Journey to Smile is a non-violent, peace-building effort and event approved by the UN International Peace Day under the Culture of Peace Initiative. Their commitment to peace is also registered byPeace One Day (commitment number 21323). Our Journey to Smile is impartial, independent, NOT political or religious and is NOT a charity. They believe that the cumulative hope and conscience of humanity, once communally expressed on a wide enough scale, would demonstrate a love that inspires Mankind to grow and to be compassionately humane.
Alia Foundation
Alia Foundation is a private, non-profit, Afghan-led organization based in Kabul, Afghanistan. Established in January of 2011 by a group of young and dedicated students from Kabul University, Alia Foundation focuses its efforts on assisting widows, orphans, and drug users on the streets of Kabul and elsewhere.

Kandahar Treasure
Kandahar Treasure employs women artisans from the Kandahar area in order to develop an economic base for the province and support the advancement of women throughout Afghanistan.
Skateistan
Skateistan is Afghanistan’s—and the world’s—first co-educational skateboarding school. The school engages growing numbers of urban and internally-displaced youth in Afghanistan through skateboarding, and provides them with new opportunities in cross-cultural interaction, education, and personal empowerment.
